Recently, I was in NYC and fortunate enough to spare some time to check out the Tim Burton exhibit at the MoMA. While I was there, I thought it would be a good opportunity to do some sketching (especially since photography was not allowed within the main exhibit).
Sketches: PITT pen, ballpoint pen. 2010.
I’m a bit of a toy collector and part of the fun is photographing them when I get a chance.
Inspired by photographer Geoff Spear, and Pixar artist/toy collector Jeff Pidgeon, I decided to keep an ongoing series of photos of my toys, figures, statues and other collectibles.
A few years ago I decided to call these photos my “Propinquity” series.
Photographs taken with either a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT with a variety of lenses, or a Canon SD1000 point-and-shoot.
