Some sketching at restaurants!

I’ve been making it a habit to bring the good ol’ Moleskine whenever I go out. Making these quick sketches combine three favorite activities of mine: people watching, going out to eat, and of course, drawing.

All sketches done with pencil or ballpoint pen and PITT pens; varying from 1 to 15 minutes sketch time.

iPad + Autodesk Sketchbook Pro

I’ve been trying to do more and more sketching on the iPad. I mess around with a few different drawing apps, but nothing really comes close to Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, which I’ve been a fan of for years in its previous iterations.

Quick figure studies and sketches for practice.

The sketched out scenes were done in about 1-2 minutes, while the other figure drawings were just a few seconds for each.

First three sketches were done using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro for iPad. Last two using ballpoint pen and PITT brush pens.

A few sketches of your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Sidenote: I was inspired to sketch the second and third drawings while I was at the final “Gathering of the Gargoyles” convention (in 2009), which included a lot of the cast and crew from “The Spectacular Spider-Man” animated series!

The first sketch of ol’ webhead was done using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and a Wacom Intuos. The other two are from a sketchbook, pencil, ballpoint pen and PITT pens.

Recently worked on a Shelfworthy shirt which we will be bringing with us to SXSW 2010. Here are photos of the first printed samples. Yup, we’re doing men’s AND women’s shirts!
